Reading materials

The campus has a conducive and vibrant learning environment that is Martin Oduor Otieno Library which is learning and research centre for the entire university. Students can reserve books on-line and key texts are held in short-loan to improve access. Reading materials are increasingly available on-line as subscriptions to e-journals and e-books increase.

 

Digital facilities

The University has 10 modern computer labs fully equipped with PC that are networked open to all students to carry out their research as well as check their mails. Also have one of the best Data Analytics Lab which is equipped with the necessary research tools and projecting screens.

You can connect your own computer, phone or tablet to the KCA University's WiFi network throughout the campus, as well as enjoy internet access from every corner of the teaching complex as well as the Library.

Support for the online provision of learning materials (e-Learning) via Blackboard, video-conferencing facilities to enable 'face-to-face' teaching at a distance to groups within and outside of the University.

 

E-Learning

All modules have resources on Moodle, the University's virtual learning environment. It include module booklets and access to submit assignments on-line and may also lecture handouts, web links, additional reading materials and anything else that the lecturer feels students will find useful. It is accessible anywhere as long as one have registered with the ICT department and is issued with user name and password.
