The Dean’s Office is an important, and strategic nerve centre in the delivery of Computing academic and research programmes and outreach services at KCA University.
The office of the Dean is charged to provide intellectual leadership and strategic academic direction of the faculty of Computing and information Management (FoCIM).
For effective delivery of services, the dean is supported by an Associated Dean, Faculty Coordinators, Administrative and technical staff.
Prof Ddembe Williams is the Dean of the Faculty of Computing and Information Management and Director of Systems Modelling and Data Analytics Research Lab (D-Lab) at KCA University in Nairobi, Kenya. Previously, he served as a Senior Lecturer in Decision Sciences and the Head of the Centre for Advanced Systems Modelling and Simulation within the Faculty of Business, Computing and Information Management at London South Bank University (LSBU) in the United Kingdom. Prof. Williams’ practical, theoretical/research work focus on how problem structuring, model-based decision support systems and data analytics can be employed to understand complex feedback systems. Ddembe has published over 40 internationally refereed journal articles, book chapters and conference papers, and chaired several research conferences and workshops. He holds a M.Sc. in Advanced Information Technology and a Ph.D. in Computer Science/System Dynamics from London South Bank University.
Prof Ddembe Williams is the editor in Chief of the International Journal of Systems and Data Analytics of KCA University.
